Donates Engines to De La Salle University
Mitsubishi Motors Philippines recently signed an agreement with De La
Salle University- Dasmariñas to provide assistance in restructuring
the school’s Automotive Technology curriculum. MMPC President
and CEO, Mr. Kengo Takase, stated “We are very pleased to have
shared our resources and knowledge with a very good and reputable university.”
With this program, DLSU-D’s College of Engineering and Technology
would be able to grant scholarships for automotive technology training
to the economically challenged youth. Mr. Takase also added that MMPC
and its subsidiaries would be considering employing the graduates of
this two-year Certificate of Program in Automotive Technology. Part
of the assistance package was the donation of a 1.5 liter 4G15 and the
2.5 liter 4D56 engine and transmission assemblies for hands-on training.
Several Mitsubishi Service Technicians Educational Program or MSTEPs
will also be offered to De LaSalle instructors free of charge to refresh
their knowledge on present automotive technologies. Training materials
such as textbooks shall also be provided by Mitsubishi Motors Philippines.
