Representing the company, Enrico G. Lapitan, Section Head and Manager of the Environment Section under the Safety, Health and Environment Department, presented MMPC’s initiatives on sustainability, resource conservation, environmental management, and solid waste management. The summit served as a platform for government agencies, industries, and private sector stakeholders to strengthen collaboration and promote environmental responsibility.


The event also featured discussions on Republic Act No. 9003, or the Ecological Solid Waste Management Act of 2000, and Republic Act No. 11898, or the Extended Producer Responsibility Act, underscoring the importance of waste reduction, recycling, and circular economy practices as shared responsibilities among businesses and communities.


Through continued investments in renewable energy, resource efficiency, and environmental management, MMPC remains committed to advancing sustainable manufacturing practices while contributing to environmental stewardship and long-term sustainable development in the Philippines.
