Mitsubishi Genuine Parts

Using Mitsubishi Genuine Parts ensures safety and comfort for your car.

Make sure to take your car to an authorized Mitsubishi service facility when parts are due to be replaced.

Air Cleaner Element

Motor vehicles run using the power generated when air-fuel mixture is burnt in the combustion chambers. The air cleaner element filters out dirt and dust in the engine intake air to supply clean air to the engine. Using a vehicle with a dirty air filter element results in a drop in engine performance and in fuel efficiency and so it must be cleansed or replaced at specified intervals.

Air Cleaner Element

Mitsubishi Genuine air filter elements absorb and remove everything from fine dust to larger particles and enjoy a long product life. This is because Mitsubishi Genuine air filter elements employ a multi-layered structure.

Non-genuine elements, however, use a single-layer structure. This results in lower filter performance, with fewer dust and other particulates being removed and a shorter product life. And, in most cases non-genuine elements do not fit the air cleaner properly.

Brake Pads

Brake pads transmit braking force to the wheels, thereby stopping or slowing down the vehicle. Brake pads cause the brakes to work through friction. When they wear down, braking performance decreases and this can lead to serious accidents. When the brake pads wear down to a preset depth, the pad wear indicator scrapes on the disc rotor when the brakes are applied causing a squealing sound and warning the driver of the need for replacement.

Brake Pads

Mitsubishi Genuine brake pads maximize braking performance because they are optimally designed to match the characteristics of individual Mitsubishi models. Counterfeit pads, however, wear down faster and result in longer stopping distances because they use inferior materials.

Oil Filter & Engine Oil

The oil filter uses a filter cartridge to remove dirt and impurities from the engine oil.
Unless the filter cartridge is replaced at regular intervals, filter performance decreases and it eventually becomes clogged. When the cartridge becomes clogged, engine wear increases, causing abnormal operating noise because unfiltered oil that has bypassed the filter is pumped to all parts of the engine. In the worst case, this can cause the engine to overheat and seize.

Oil Filter & Engine Oil

Mitsubishi Genuine oil filters deliver high filter performance without any oil leaks. This is because they use high-quality, thick paper cartridges and because the O-ring is made of tough and flexible materials. Counterfeit filters use low-quality, thin paper cartridges. This results in not only in poor filter performance but because they clog quickly they are also liable to leak oil and even catch fire.

Spark Plugs

Motor vehicles run using the power generated when the air-fuel mixture is burnt in the combustion chambers of the engine. The spark plug uses a high voltage discharge to produce a spark and start combustion of the air-fuel mixture drawn into the combustion chamber. As vehicle mileage increases, the spark plug electrode wears down and firing performance decreases. This results in a decrease in engine performance, poorer fuel efficiency and also an increase in atmospheric pollution as more unburnt combustion gases are exhausted from the engine.

Spark Plugs

Mitsubishi Genuine spark plugs use a copper cored center electrode in order to carry the heat of combustion away from the tip more rapidly. As a result, they are less prone to scorching and to smoldering of the insulator. A comparison of the thermal characteristics of copper cored and non-copper cored plugs shows that the copper cored plug offers superior thermal properties and resistance to carbon stain as well as having a wider heat range. Non-copper cored plugs, meanwhile, are liable to overheat and in the worst case this can cause the electrode to melt. Further, Mitsubishi Genuine spark plugs incorporate an internal resistor while counterfeit plugs do not. The use of non-resistor spark plugs can cause serious loads on electrical components of the ignition system as well as malfunctioning of electronic parts due to ignition noise (EMI) intrusion.

V-Belt

The V-belt synchronizes the rotation of moving parts in the engine and is a vital part in terms of engine performance and reliability. Mitsubishi Genuine V-belts have an extremely durable structure and are made of highly durable materials. The V-belt needs to be replaced at specified intervals because a degraded belt can suffer stripping of teeth or
cracking, which in turn upsets valve operation timing and can even lead to catastrophic damage to the engine.

V-Belt

Mitsubishi Genuine V-belts work properly and are tough and long-lasting because they are designed with the correct length and cross-section for individual models and are made from high-quality materials. Non-genuine V-belts are liable to suffer stripping of teeth or cracking because their length and sectional design are often incorrect, and they are made from low-quality materials. V-belt failure can cause catastrophic damage to the engine.
